Cothern Computer Systems Inc. was founded over thirty years ago in 1981 to provide software development services to regional clients. We are an information technology company of application software architects, developers, and programmers. Allen Cothern and Rick Cothern were both mainframe programmers before joining forces and founding Cothern Computer Systems. To this day, the entire management team and most CCS employees have a technical programming background.
Cothern Computer Systems has two divisions: Application Conversions and Systems Integration, and Contact Center Technologies. CCS became one of the first IBM Business Partners in 1982 when the Business Partner program was introduced. Through the years we have maintained that relationship along with many other Partnerships. In 1989 we performed one of the first installations of IBM CallPath, launching us into Contact Center Technologies. That same year we performed a conversion from a Unisys platform to an IBM platform which in turn lead us into the Application Conversions after developing automated tools for the migration. We perform application migrations to IBM Power Systems AIX, Linux, IBM i, and IBM System/z from many IBM and other platforms. We have successfully completed conversions from many different IBM, Unisys, HP, and Wang systems to IBM Power Systems and IBM System/z. CCS technical capabilities provide the ability to re-write applications when conversion is not economically feasible or technically possible. With the sale of CallPath to Genesys in 2001, we formed a strong partnership with Genesys which provides the premier contact software today.
Over the years, we have cultivated a stable work environment. We are proud to say that the average employee has over 15 years of service, and many have 20+ years of large scale, complex application conversion and call center experience.
